Founding Attorney
Justin Ross
Justin Ross, Founding Attorney
Our founding attorney, Justin Ross, focuses his practice primarily on litigation-based matters, including all areas of family law and personal injury. Justin also has extensive experience in criminal defense and dependency and neglect matters, including numerous jury trials for cases ranging from misdemeanors to felony homicides.
Justin is a passionate, tireless advocate who analyzes each of his cases in order to develop successful, individualized strategies for each client.
Justin’s reputation in the community is evidenced by his many excellent client and peer reviews, including being named a Colorado Super Lawyer, a Colorado Super Lawyer Rising Star for five consecutive years, an AV-Preeminent (highest possible) peer rating, and a 10.0 Superb Avvo peer rating.
Justin is frequently requested to serve as a mediator in hundreds of family law cases, and he has frequently been requested to present to his peers by various professional organizations, including the Colorado Bar Association and the First Judicial District Bar Association. Justin served on the First Judicial District Bar Association Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2017 and the First Judicial District Bar Association Board of Governors from 2017 to 2019. Justin served as the President of the First Judicial District Association Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2017.

Joe Ward, Attorney
Attorney Joe Ward has been litigating federal and state court cases since 2014. Joe focuses his practice primarily on litigation-based matters, including all areas of family law, contract disputes, and labor and employment. Joe diligently represents individuals in family law matters as well as both employees and employers with respect to claims arising under federal and state employment laws. Joe has handled disputes arising in many areas.
In 2021 to 2023, Joe was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. This peer designation is awarded only to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state. The Rising Stars selection process considers peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other cogent factors.

Justin Pierce

Justin Pierce, Attorney
Attorney Justin Pierce has significant experience in a wide range of legal matters, including family law, estate planning, trust administration, probate, and real estate law. Justin currently focuses his practice primarily on setting up comprehensive estate plans for families of all means, probating both simple and complicated estates across Colorado, and drafting and negotiating marital agreements. Justin has represented both individuals and business entities in transactional and litigation-based matters.
With his strong legal research and writing skills, coupled with his experiences gained through extensive courtroom advocacy, Justin is ready and willing to attain the results his clients desire. Justin is a methodical negotiator willing to craft creative solutions for clients across multiple areas of law. While Justin appreciates the use of a courtroom to solve problems, he firmly believes that properly advised planning and good-faith negotiations can avoid the unnecessary cost of the courtroom.
When Justin is not at the office, you can find him riding his motorcycle or hiking with his wife, Olivia. Justin also has two cats that enjoy sitting on his lap while he works. We're happy to have Justin as part of our legal team!

Sherry O’Connell earned her paralegal degree from the ABA-approved program at Arapahoe Community College. Sherry has over 30 years of experience in the legal field. Sherry is experienced in multiple areas of the Law, including family law, criminal defense, probate, dependency, neglect, and appeals.
Sherry has passion for and experience in personal injury law, including automobile accidents, slip and fall accidents, premises liability, and professional negligence cases. Sherry has assisted on hundreds of cases, both in the pre-litigation negotiation stage with insurance companies as well as in litigation support. She is a crucial part of our legal team at Ross Law.
