Biography

Joe Ward, who joined our firm in 2023, is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Louisiana, and Virginia. Joe focuses his practice primarily on ligation-based matters, including all areas of family law, contract disputes, and labor and employment. Joe diligently represents individuals in family law matters as well as both employees and employers with respect to claims arising under federal and state employment laws. Joe has handled disputes arising under the following areas: 

  • Claims arising under state contract law and common law tort claims
  • Claims for wrongful discharge
  • Non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosures agreements
  • Trade secrets, confidential information, and intellectual property
  • Claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and numerous other federal and state employment laws 

In 2021-2023, Joe was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. This peer designation is awarded only to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state. The Rising Stars selection process considers peer recognition, professional achievement in legal practice, and other cogent factors.
